I would be leveling a BE character right now if I had forgotten all these chores and bad luck. I stopped playing LOTRO when they have switched to talent trees from their older, much better talent system. I don't care about their "rewarding" system of getting pointless talent tree points which have to be selected to fit an optimal build.

Could not stomach to level my first character in Classic, because leveling is so bad compared to retail. So, another layer of repulsive grind for me.Īnd to get a BE character, I would need to grind through all Classic bullshit once again. or patterns.Īlso PvP to get some BiS items from there - thank you very much, but I don't enjoy PvP (except in Legion, there it was kinda fun). have fun farming the same HC or raid over and over for weeks, if not months. Excited about that gorehowl drop, or your shiny new thunder? Well you’ll be replacing it in a few months at best. You’re always having to do it all again”. Especially with regards to the honor grind, which was frankly insufferable.ġ or 2 people have said in this thread things like “once you’ve done it, it’s done forever, but retail is seasonal. Granted it’s been a long time since I played BC, but I played way way more back then and I always felt like I was playing catch up.

Next patch? I’ll be doing exactly the same thing except with new content. I’m currently 6/10 mythic and I pretty much just show up for raids and that’s it. On retail, you do at least 1 m+ per week and spend about 30 minutes or so in torghast.

Everything about BC took more of a time investment than retail. From leveling to gold making, from rep grinds to the content itself. More than that, the time investment was a *grind*. Can’t disagree more, I don’t understand how anybody could possibly think tbc had less of a time investment.
